...Well, only one 'official' week anyway. Then Dead Week, which is never really dead, and then Finals Week. Finals Week for most anyway. Us education majors on the other hand, we will be done before the rest of you for the most part. It's nice having a major where you put together portfolios instead of cram for final exams. My only final is on Thursday in my Bios 295 class - and I hear it involves making ice cream, so nothing too strenuous. Somehow I think I will manage to survive.
Teetz and I went shopping yesterday, it was far too nice to stay inside so we went to Southpoint. My sanctuary inside Barnes and Noble was ruined however, by a force too disturbing to name, for fear it might rear it's ugly head and attempt to hurt my feelings. Or something. But I finally bought one of my favorite books, The Picture of Dorian Gray. Oscar Wilde is highly underrated by far too many people, or this text is at least, and that annoys me. Anyway. I have come to the conclusion though, that even though Southpoint is an 'outdoor mall' I still like Gateway just as well, if not better. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that the Chinese place has the best fried rice ever. I like fried rice. I was never a fan of white rice really, I guess I am racist. Ah well.
I had another voice lesson today. Emily decided I need to really get out of my confort zone and stop singing along with guys only, because I have the ability, I just need to use it more often to get comfortable with it. It sounds all wrong in my head to me and I don't like to hit the high notes, but she said while we were singing she would stop me if I was off, and she didn't stop me. So now I am supposed to sing along with more female singers, which makes me a little nervous. Not like Mariah Carey, who sings so ridiculously high sometimes that only dogs should be able to hear it, but more Julie Roberts (Teetz will LOVE that one since he is such a country fan) LeAnn Womack (i.e. 'I Hope You Dance', lots of high notes), and so on. I think Christina Aguilera is out of the question for now too, that girl can SING. I can't. Yet.
